Every day I have gone out and gathered brown eggs laid in the night by insects I would rather not have. Could you imagine me going out to an entire field planted with this red kuri winter squash, gathering these eggs laid under and on top the leaves, some even lay them on the stems. If left to hatch they will kill the plant and no squash will mature. I do not and refuse too use any sprays of chemical or the like to kill these insect pests, because they will also kill what is called beneficial insects and microorganisms. So if I want to eat I do my part in the garden. I do have to admit I love the new garden beds I have been incorporating into my little farm/homestead.
