Ever read the Bible?
If you have you might see at different times where mothers were at a standstill.
Like when Lot, his wife and 2 daughters left Sodom Gomorrah. It was Lot’s wife who stopped turned and looked in horror at the devastation of this city of lawless dwellers. While at the same time she was no longer capable to move forward in the direction of Lot and her daughters. She remained separated from both worlds not going back in horror relieving where she left from, nor moving forward in life, she was at a standstill in her life, a pillar of salt/stone.
I find we, not just mother’s, can find ourselves also standing powerless in the perils of this life. Taking a stand in the right direction sometimes requires guts/courage. Sometimes it’s just a matter of becoming silent not displaying bitterness. In life a lot of times the bitterness you once felt becomes quite sweet, not doing or saying anything to harm someone else. When harm reaches out to slap another we too get slapped, and battle never stops. Becoming silent in this night may just be the daylight at the beginning, reaching hearts in silence.
